WHOOP Brings Heartbeat of the Ryder Cup to Fans
As the Official Health and Fitness Wearable of the 2025 Ryder Cup, WHOOP will deliver real-time heart rate and performance data from the world’s best golfers, redefining how fans experience golf’s biggest stage.

When the 2025 Ryder Cup tees off at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26–28, fans will witness more than just incredible golf. Thanks to WHOOP, the human performance company, spectators will experience the intensity of the competition in an entirely new way: through the real-time heart rates and physiological data of players like Justin Thomas, Tyrrell Hatton, and Ben Griffin, as well as captains Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald.
With WHOOP Live integrated into NBC’s broadcast, audiences will see, in the very moment, how pressure, resilience, and mental fortitude shape every swing, putt, and decision.
The Science of Pressure and Performance
“The Ryder Cup is the ultimate arena for pressure, rivalry, and performance at the highest level,” said John Sullivan, Chief Marketing Officer at WHOOP. “This is where WHOOP shines: helping athletes understand how to prepare, recover, and perform, while giving fans unparalleled insight into what it truly takes to compete when everything is on the line.”
By offering fans direct access to biometric insights, WHOOP is transforming the Ryder Cup into not just a sporting event, but a live science experiment in human performance.
Amplifying the Moment
Beyond NBC’s broadcast integrations, WHOOP is rolling out a full multi-channel campaign that includes social media activations, media placements, and strategic partnerships. Jeff Price, Chief Commercial Officer of the PGA of America, said, “The Ryder Cup continually delivers unmatched energy and drama on golf’s biggest stage, and WHOOP will now give spectators a front row seat to the science of elite performance.”
Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer at Ryder Cup Europe, added, “Golf is an incredibly data-rich sport, and this new partnership will provide fans with unprecedented insights into how the world’s best players manage the demands of golf’s greatest team contest.”
From Elite Golfers to Everyday Players
WHOOP isn’t new to golf. The company already partners with top stars like Rory McIlroy, Nelly and Jessica Korda, and Justin Thomas. Its research underscores the value of recovery and sleep: in a study of 389 professional golfers across 521 tournaments, higher recovery scores and consistent sleep were directly linked to fewer poor shots and better performance.
The message is clear—whether you’re competing at Bethpage or at your local club, performance is built on consistency.
